Welcome

This Class Guide has been prepared for the Architecture research course to assist students in locating library sources. Suggested library sources and services are also provided. For additional help contact the Architecture Subject Specialist, Pauline Melgoza - p-melgoza@tamu.edu.

Specialized and Related Databases

  • Avery Index to Architectural Periodical (Ebsco) - Bibliographic research tool available worldwide for research in architecture, urban design, historic preservation, and urban planning history.
  • Compendex  - Comprehensive citation index for engineering of all types.  It has the best coverage of the conference literature.
  • GreenFILE (Ebsco)  - Scholarly, government and general-interest titles include content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.
  • Google Scholar  - Proxied link for TAMU access.
