    Course Reserves and Research Guides

    Find the location of books placed on reserve for your classes and link to articles on our electronic course reserve system.

    Find class guides specifically designed for your class topic and syllabus.


    ACCESS Various Types of Databases (article databases, e-book databases, data databases, etc.)

    In the box below, enter the title of the database to be accessed and hit the search button.
    If you are off campus, you will be prompted to login using your NetID & password. From ON campus, this step is skipped.
    Use the tabs along the top of this guide for recommended databases.

    Search for Databases:


    ACCESS a Specific E-Journal

    To access a specific e-journal (owned by the libraries):
    1. Enter the title of the journal (or keywords from the title) in the box below.
    2. Find the journal in the list, but NOTICE the "available online" information — it will determine which volumes (years) can be accessed.
    3. Follow the link to the journal.
    4. If the desired journal is NOT on the list, or the volume(s) needed are not included, search LibCat to determine if the library owns a print version, or request specific articles through Get It For Me.


    Does the library own ... ?

    Search LibCat for a specific book, journal, conference, map, etc.
    Search LibCat for material on a topic

    1. Enter words or phrases in the "enter search terms" box below>
    2. Optional: change the "choose your search type" from keyword to title keyword, author, subject, etc.
    3. Optional: Use the "limit your search" box to limit results to online material only, material written in a particular language, etc.
