Finding Patents and Technical Reports

"This report is a brief description of your selected project.  Include motivations and background concerning your topic.  List and discuss the features of your engine concept which have the potential to provide advantages.  Cite at least two (2) technical and two (2) patent references.  Sources which will satisfy this requirement may not be text books (or other books), and may not be citations of "web" addresses (i.e., you may cite text books, other books, and web cites, but they will not satisfy this requirement)."

Sources for Technical Reports:

  • SAE Digital Library.  Full-text database of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) technical reports.
  • National Technical Reports Library (NTRL).  Provides access to federally-funded technical reports.  Recent reports are available online; older reports will probably be in microform in Evans Library.
