Welcome to AgNIC
Welcome to the Texas A&M University Libraries' Agribusiness web site. It is a part of AgNIC (Agriculture Network Information Collaborative), which is a distributed network that provides access to selected freely available agriculture-related information, subject area experts, and other resources. The scope of this site is to provide access to information about agribusiness, which we define as the commerce between farmers (the producers of food and fiber products), those that supply the farmers with the external products they need to enable them to farm, and those that consume and use agricultural products.

Please limit reference questions to brief specific factual information pertinent to agribusiness. For example, the address and contact information for a company or farm, citations to articles in the periodical literature on very specific agribusiness topics, or a specific statistical fact. We can not give business or legal advice. We will attempt to respond to questions by e-mail within 1-2 working days. You must include a valid email address with your email request to return our answer or to ask for refinement of your question. Answers may include referrals to other information sources. Our personnel resources to answer questions are limited and extensive research questions can not be answered.
